SUNY Oswego's 9th annual Laps with Lakers seeks volunteers for the event, which will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 1 on the academic quad.

All students, employees, community members and alumni are invited to participate in the Laps with Lakers, walking to remember and to prevent sexual and interpersonal violence. Participants will be asked to walk, run and/or roll at least one lap on the quad in support of this cause.

The volunteers are needed to help set up, check people in and out, and with break down. Use this link to sign up to help with Laps for Lakers. Free t-shirts are available for volunteers while supplies and sizes last.

The event is the continuation of Yards for Yeardley, which took place eight previous years, but made more campus-specific this year and with an increased focus on sexual and interpersonal violence.

Participants are invited to create a team of club members, residents, coworkers and more. Students, employees, community members and alumni that are not in Oswego or that are fully remote will also be able to participate remotely.

Those interested in taking part can also use this link to register to participate.
