SUNY Oswego’s SEFA (State Employees Federated Appeal) and the United Way of Greater Oswego County once again looks to make spirits bright through a holiday toy drive on campus.

Toy donations will benefit the local community with help from the Children's Fund of Oswego County. This non-profit organization operates with a crew of volunteers often including employees from Oswego County Social Services, Catholic Charities, United Way, Oswego County Hospice, and SUNY Oswego and other community volunteers. This crew works together to provide holiday gifts to local children in need.

The effort is part of a Toy, Food and Pet Supplies Drive, with collection boxes in buildings across campus.

To support this effort, you can find trees with paper ornaments including the name, age, and wish of a local child in buildings around campus (see below). Participants can purchase a gift for a specific child, and drop off the unwrapped gift to a marked box to the following contacts before pickups on Friday, Dec. 3, and Friday, Dec. 10.

  • 702 Culkin Hall -- Cathy Johnston
  • 119 Tyler Hall -- Sally Van Buren
  • 145 Marano -- Jenny Grass
  • 402 Mahar Hall -- Tracie Mastrangelo

In lieu of a gift, monetary donations can be made via checks. Checks can be made out to SUNY Oswego Toy Drive and sent to Cathy Johnston, 702 Culkin Hall.

Any donations help make the holidays special for kids across Oswego County.
