College Republicans and TPUSA at Oswego will host Cherise Trump, the executive director of Speech First, to speak at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, in The Space, Marano Campus Center.

Organizers said Trump brings a wealth of experience and insight into the vital issue of free speech rights on college campuses.

Cherise Trump previously served as the associate director of coalition relations at The Heritage Foundation, where she focused on defense and foreign policy, as well as immigration reform. Prior to that, she held the position of program manager at The Alexander Hamilton Society. Currently, she hosts Speech First's podcast, "Well Said," where she engages in discussions on free speech, higher education and American culture.

During the event, Trump will address the issue of the suppression of freedom of speech within the university setting.
