Penfield Library will team up with Zonta Club of Oswego for the second annual Maker Madness from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 9.

Zonta is an international organization focused on empowering women, and Maker Madness sets out to celebrate International Women's Day with lots of hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) creativity.

At the event, makers will set up tables on the second floor of the library to demo their craft/skill or to lead an activity that attendees can try. This year, Maker Madness will include upcycled journals, 3D printing, container gardening, robotics, making bouncy balls, Raspberry Pi micro-computers, plastic bag weaving and more. The event will also feature a scavenger hunt and drawing for two Chromebooks provided by CDI Computers.

The event is free, family-friendly and open to people of all ages and genders. The campus and local communities are invited to take part.
