The SUNY Oswego Workgroup on Accessibility Practices invites the campus on a journey to make SUNY Oswego more inclusive and accessible. In anticipation of new Title II regulations, the group is offering multiple opportunities to engage in accessibility trainings:

  • "Access: A Quest Toward Inclusion" is a course designed for all members of the campus, faculty, staff and students. Use this link to register.

    • This course is administered through Brightspace in an asynchronous format to allow for flexible and self-paced engagement.

    • Five facilitated synchronous virtual sessions will be offered every other week, starting the week of Sept. 15. These sessions will focus on clarifying key concepts and exploring topics related to the course. While this schedule aligns with the Brightspace modules, you do not need to be enrolled in the course to attend these sessions.

  • "Access in Action: Accessibilities Series" is a series of 10 synchronous virtual sessions throughout the semester.

    • Ten synchronous virtual sessions will be offered throughout the semester starting the week of Sept. 15.

    • Each session delivers quick, practical accessibility tips you can put to use immediately. Sessions begin with 20 minutes of focused learning, followed by time for questions. At the end of each session, you’ll receive a handout summarizing key points and practical tips to remember.

    • While the schedule aligns with the Access: A quest toward inclusion facilitated course, you do not need to be enrolled in the course to attend these sessions.

Details on our facilitated sessions will be announced by CELT. Please email Carrie Mocyk (carrie.mocyk@oswego.edu) with any questions.

Sincerely,
The SUNY Oswego Workgroup on Accessibility Practices
