Health Information Technology, Adv. Crt.

Use the newest information technology to improve health care and processes through data analytics, and data and information management. The Health Information Technology certificate program is one of the few in New York that addresses the growing demand for the integration of IT systems in the health care industry.

SUNY Oswego's partnerships with leading area health care organizations such as Upstate Medical Center, MedTech, Welch Allyn and the Veteran’s Health Administration can help you turn an internship into a future career. Credits from this program may be applied to a master’s degree in Human- Computer Interaction or Biomedical and Health Informatics.

Integrated Health Systems, Adv. Crt.

As health systems change, there is a growing need for professionals who understand how new technology affects patient and medical personnel. Deepen your knowledge of information systems, human-computer interaction and communications methods in a health care setting.

Upon graduation you will be prepared for the growing healthcare market, which needs professionals who understand the psychological, cultural and social changes that come along with adopting new technology. Credits from this program may be applied towards SUNY Oswego’s Human-Computer Interaction or Biomedical and Health Informatics master’s degree.

Our human-computer interaction program prepares you for the high-demand, high-opportunity positions in user interface design and user experience.

You will gain real world experience through projects that incorporate skills building, analyzing and improving human-computer interaction. Students in this program often receive funding through fellowships to work on large scale projects with major businesses like Welch Allyn, MedTech and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.
