Orchestra, dancers to perform 'Nutcracker' selections

Dancers from SUNY Oswego and the Oswego area will join the College-Community Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, in Waterman Theatre in a free performance of selections from "The Nutcracker." 

Ligia Pinheiro, who teaches ballet and other courses in the SUNY Oswego theatre department, will direct the dancers, while Juan F. La Manna conducts the orchestra.

Besides the choices from Tchaikovsky's holiday favorite, the program also will include selections by Mozart, Haydn and Copland, and will feature SUNY Oswego senior Gwen Healy as a soloist in Cimarosa’s "Oboe Concerto."
