SUNY Oswego faculty saxophonist Trevor Jorgensen, trumpeter Terry Caviness and pianist Robert Auler explore such influential instrumental composers as Debussy, Desenclos, Fasch and Hummel. Characterized by its youth, brilliant playing and soulful interpretations, the Ariel Quartet has earned a glowing international reputation. The program includes Beethoven's Quartet in F Major, Op. 18, No. 1; Britten's Quartet No. 2; and Schumann's Piano Quintet in E-flat Major, Op. 44. Re: Nominations for 2012-13 Chancellor's Awards for Excellence
Each year the State University of New York recognizes outstanding scholarship and creative activity, faculty service, teaching, and librarianship through the conferral of Chancellor's awards for excellence.
SUNY Oswego is authorized to submit up to four nominations for the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching, and one nomination each for the Chancellor's Awards for Excellence in Librarianship, Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activities, and Excellence in Faculty Service.*
Anyone interested in making nominations can review and download guidelines from the SUNY website.
Please submit a letter of nomination to the Office of the Provost, 702 Culkin Hall. The letter may be submitted electronically to diana.carroll@oswego.edu
the Chancellor's Awards Review Committee will meet early in the spring semester to consider nominations and forward recommendations to the President.
The nominator is responsible for submitting all credentials and supporting materials to this office by Friday, December 14, 2012.
