OzFest 2018

OzFest 2018 - May 4th

The fourth annual OzFest will be held on May 4, 2018 starting at 1:00pm on the South Lawn of the Marano Campus Center. The Day of Activities will include: Stuff- A- Buddy toy building, a Hexagon Bouncer, Bungee Bounce, Wrecking Ball, Toxic Crush, Toxic Drop, and customizable license plates until 4:00pm.

In addition to the activities, Day Time bands include Jordy Searcy, Black Tie Stereo, and The Crane Wives.

Later that evening, a concert with special guest artist, Ferg and H.E.R. hosted by New York City based DJ Tumbo, will be held in the Marano Campus Center Ice Arena. Doors open at 6:30pm. Concert starts at 8:00pm. 

Ferg is an American rapper from Harlem, New York City and is known for songs such as “East Coast (Remix)” and “Plain Jane” from his second mixtape Still Striving released in August 2017, which reached seventh on the US Billboard for Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. In 2013, Ferg was awarded the BET Hip Hop Award for Rookie of the Year and was nominated for Video Director of the Year.

R&B singer, H.E.R. meaning “Having Everything Revealed” is an American singer-songwriter from Vallejo, California. Signed under RCA records, she has released extended plays entitled, H.E.R. Volume 1 (2016) and H.E.R. Volume 2 (2017). Through her 2016 EP, H.E.R. Vol. 1, she made it to iTunes’ Best of 2016 R&B/Soul album list, with songs such as “Losing” and her cover of Drake’s single “Jungle.”  

The artist selections were chosen by the Student Association (SA) and the Student Association Programming Board (SAPB), in order to encompass a diverse range of musical genres and appeal to majority of the student body.
