OzFest 2016

The second annual OzFest featured an afternoon full of games and food and an evening concert with Flo Rida and Rich Homie Quan plus host DJ Kobe from Syracuse’s Hot 107.9 on May 6, the last day of spring classes.

Free activities began at 1 p.m. with carnival food in Marano Campus Center food court as well as games and music in the quad. Visitors to these afternoon activities enjoyed a barbecue on the quad, dunk tank, rock-climbing wall, zipline, bungee jump, airbrush tattoos, mechanical bull, stuff-a-buddy toy building and more.

Musical Menu

Flo Rida is known for such songs as the recent smash “My House,” which hit No. 4 on the Billboard singles chart, plus three No. 1 singles in “Low,” “Right Round” and “Whistle.” He has earned People’s Choice and Teen Choice awards, as well as many Grammy, Billboard Music, MTV and BET awards nominations.

Rich Homie Quan has earned critical and commercial attention for his mixtapes and singles including “Type of Way,” “Walk Thru” and “Flex.” He plans to release his first full-length album, “Rich as in Spirit,” this year.

The Student Association and the Student Association Programming Board, which hosted the concert, said they chose a rap-flavored lineup based on student voting for which acts they wanted to see.
