Dear Students,

As a follow up to today’s message from President Stanley, I want to provide answers for some of your immediate questions related to academics, housing, athletics, campus events and student services on campus:

  • Academics – You will receive communication directly from your individual faculty member related to how your courses will be transitioned to remote learning. Any questions related to your courses or expectations should be sent to the faculty member teaching the class.

  • Housing – When you leave for spring break, take your devices, textbooks, personal items, and any materials needed to complete your coursework remotely for the next four weeks. You do not need to remove all of your belongings. If you would like to remain on campus to complete your coursework remotely, please contact Residence Life & Housing at 315-312-3623.

  • Athletics – Guidance for athletic events and competitions will be forthcoming based on policy coordination with the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) and campus leadership.

  • Campus Events – On-campus events scheduled through April 13, 2020 are canceled. We will update you on future events beyond that date.

  • Student Services – All offices are open and will be available to you during this period. Please continue to reach out to them for assistance if needed.

If you have other questions, please contact the Dean of Students Office at deanofstudents@oswego.edu or 315-312-5483. As new information becomes available, I will provide updates on our COVID-19 webpage.

Sincerely,

Jerri Howland, Ph.D.
Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management
