Dear Members of our Faculty, Staff and Administration,

The county and state health departments are investigating, tracing and testing related to seven new positive cases of the COVID-19 virus in the Town of Oswego connected to a food processing facility.

These positive cases in our community remind us of the vital role we all play in preventing the spread of the virus.  I urge you all to continue practicing social distancing and wearing masks or cloth face coverings in all public settings.  We must continue to perform our civic duty by protecting ourselves and others as we work together to stem the spread of the virus on our campus, in our communities, and around the globe.

With many of you, we at SUNY Oswego are planning for the phased return of our employees next month and preparing to welcome our students back to campus for the new academic year that begins in late August. Safety is our top priority and to ensure safety, we must focus on every detail to significantly reduce any health risks for all of our students, faculty and staff.

Please take care of yourself and those around you.

Be well,

Deborah F. Stanley
President
