Overview
SUNY Oswego's online wellness management program offers students a flexible, convenient way to pursue their degree. The coursework and faculty are the same as our on-campus program.
As the healthcare industry continues to expand, the job outlook for wellness management graduates is excellent. Our unique SUNY wellness management program combines fitness and health promotion disciplines along with business.
You can select a program that focuses on wellness, worksite health promotion and managing such programs. In addition to a broad liberal arts education, you can graduate with a foundation in health science/wellness, management and human behavior, and gain skills in needs assessment, program planning, program implementation and program evaluation.
You’ll gain valuable real-world experience during your junior or senior year internship, which consists of 120 hours of supervised field work. Choose from a wide variety of settings — including fitness centers, YMCAs, worksite health promotion programs, physical therapy offices, public health agencies, nursing homes, hospitals, rehabilitation centers and more.
Importantly, you’ll earn your degree from SUNY Oswego, a nationally ranked and highly respected college.

Outcomes
With your Oswego degree, you’ll be eligible to sit for national certifications, including Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Personal Trainer and ACSM Certified Health Fitness Specialist.
This multidisciplinary degree is unique in the SUNY system because it combines both fitness and health promotion disciplines, along with business and prepares students to assume roles as wellness/health promotion and fitness professionals in private business and industry, community organizations, and health care and insurance agencies.

Admission Requirements
This online completion program is intended for students who have earned an A.A. or A.S. degree, although we do have students in the program who have earned approximately 60 credits without an associate transfer degree. To fulfill degree requirements, all students must earn a minimum of 120 total credits including the major and General Education requirements Of the 120 credits, Oswego can accept a maximum of 60 credits from a two-year school and up to 90 credits from a four-year school, totaling no more than 90 transfer credits.

A cumulative grade point average of 2.3 is required for admission into our online completion degree program.
You must submit an official transcript from each college or university you previously attended.
Applicants with a gap in their educational history are required to complete the Transfer Application Supplement.
