The "Immersive Elements" art installation by NOIRFLUX's Electric Heliotrope Theatre in collaboration with Oswego art students was open daily, starting on Quest, April 23, through May 4 in 133 Marano Campus Center.

President Peter O. Nwosu speaks during the annual Honors Convocation, a ceremony recognizing student achievement. The event, sponsored by Vega, the Junior and Senior Honor Society, took place on April 25 in the Deborah F. Stanley Arena and Convocation Hall.

Lars Rudstam, director of the Cornell Biological Field Station and a professor of natural resources and the environment, provided the Quest keynote on “Ecological interactions in one of the world’s largest lakes –- next door Lake Ontario -– and thoughts on ecological forecasting.” The talk kicked off a variety of presentations, posters and performances on April 23, preceded by the Quest poster presentation session on the evening of April 22 at SUNY Oswego’s Syracuse Campus.

The SUNY Oswego Art Department held a fun and fast-paced "Championship Painting" event in the Tyler Hall painting studio during Quest, as students created fantastic paintings in a timed competition.

The Graduate Studies Year-End Celebration is a chance to celebrate the valued contributions of graduate students, faculty and staff who make SUNY Oswego’s graduate community exceptional. The event is also an opportunity to honor outstanding mentors and outstanding students. The Iota Zeta Chapter of Sigma Delta Phi held its National Hispanic Society Induction Ceremony on April 23 in Marano Campus Center during Quest 2025.

A Chemistry Alumni Panel featured Oswego graduates talking about their careers on April 28. The event was coordinated by the Chemistry Department and supported by Career Services, the Oswego Alumni Association and Auxiliary Services. Panelists were, from left: Kevin Jensen '94 M'96, chemistry major, senior laboratory manager with Method Development and Analytical Services at Norwich Pharmaceuticals; Bert Dorrance ’00, chemistry major, health, safety and environment manager for LOTTE Biologics; and Patricia Sattelberg Tomeck ’08, biochemistry major, manager of CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls) Regulatory Sciences at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. The event provided the opportunity for students to network with chemistry professionals.

Students earning a bachelor of fine arts (BFA) degree showcase their art each semester by presenting a body of their best work in exhibitions. The first of two BFA exhibitions honoring graduating seniors in the program was held April 15 to 27 in Tyler Art Gallery. This exhibit is the culmination of four years of hard work by students in studio art, graphic design, interaction design and illustration.

The SUNY Oswego Music Department's Wind Ensemble Spring Concert, performed by Oswego students and conducted by music faculty member Robert Auler, presented a program of music by a variety of composers, including SUNY Oswego's own Natasha Matusick, on May 6 in Waterman Theatre.

The SUNY Oswego College-Community Orchestra, conducted by Trevor Jorgensen of the music faculty, presented its Spring Concert on Wednesday, May 7 in Waterman Theatre. The program featured Jean Sibelius’ “Finlandia,” Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 1,” and selections from “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” and “Les Misérables.”

The Oswego State Jazz Ensemble, Latin Jazz Ensemble and Small Group performed their spring concert May 8 in Waterman Theatre. Directed by music faculty member Eric Schmitz, the concert featured an exciting variety of music for large and small jazz groups, graduating senior soloists and more.

Friends enjoy the photobooth in Swetman Gym during OzFest held May 9 on the last day of classes.
