Several locations on campus received new equipment that was installed over winter break.

August 7, 2015

Fall classes will be starting in a couple of weeks and with it the complete transition from ANGEL to Blackboard Learn.

As a reminder, the last day ANGEL access will be available is Monday, August 31, 2015. After that, any attempts to access it will be redirected to Blackboard Learn.

June 5, 2015

This is a final reminder from a previous communication that the automatic migration of Fall 2015 ANGEL course shells to Blackboard is June 7.

February 2, 2015

In the fall, we announced the planning surrounding the campus migration from the ANGEL learning management system to Blackboard Learn. The campus will be completely migrated to Blackboard Learn by the Fall 2015 semester.

December 9, 2014

In order to better serve you, Campus Technology Services will be scheduling maintenance of the Advanced Technology Classrooms (ATCs) during Winter Break.  An ATC is considered to be any classroom equipped with a computer and projector.

October 24, 2014

On August 12, 2014, Google released the “Classroom” app to their Google Apps for Education customers.  Google has positioned the application into the Core Apps of our LakerApps suite of products, giving the application the protection of the SUNY Google contract.

August 25, 2014

SUNY Oswego has committed to a three year expansion of the campus wifi with the first locations being completed by mid-September.

Year 1 of the three year plan includes wifi expansion to Mahar, Rich, Lanigan second floor, Lee/Shineman Quad, Sheldon Ballroom and Culkin.

Previously, Internet Explorer (IE) was the default browser in labs and classrooms. However, with the increasing security vulnerabilities in IE, especially the one affecting IE versions 6-11 late last spring, we decided it would be a good time to re-evaluate the default browser.
