8:05 am - 9:30 am
Zoom and Penfield

  1. Review of Agenda

  2. Review of October Meeting minutes

    1. Open Session - Q & A

  • Leigh - Just a reminder that the agenda and minutes from the last meeting are in the invitation sent out.

  • Sean - Some things we are thinking about - next month, we may have Rick Buck give a web update and digital services component.  That team has done much for us over the years - SLATE, data and analytics.  The accessibility group has also done a lot of work and might have a presentation when we get back in the new year.  Months ahead we will be looking at what the strategic planning committee will be doing and how that will affect IT delivery.  Eric will be doing a presentation for us today on Enterprise Applications.

  • Open to suggestions, email either Leigh or Sean.

  • Committee Reports

    • ITC Report (Dave S.) - Have not met.

    • CTS Report

      • SET update (Dan Laird)

      • Digital Learning Environment Update (Kathi & Carrie)

        • Dan Wood - Linkedin Learning with the LTI?  Kathi - Linkedin Learning has worked with D2L and it is ready to be installed.  It will be in before the spring semester.

      • Print Project update (Nicole)

        • This is a SUNY initiative across all SUNY campuses.  This is to help save money across campuses, improve security, and decrease printing.

        • We have been working across campus with departments to decrease the number of printers.  We are working with the SOB on the pilot project.  It will be a similar model as Lakerprint which the students use.

        • Working with Pharos which has built the print and release system.

        • Karin Dykeman - One concern is that we have a few very specialized printers - how will they integrate with the new system?  Nicole - We will work with the department to determine student and business needs.  Some printers will not be able to use the new system, and Pharos has something for those.

  • Digital Humanities Lab opening with Candis Haak

  • Enterprise Applications with Eric Goodnough

    • Sean - SUNY received $200 million for digital transformation.  Security is a large issue and taht will be a focus of the early spending. Over the last year UNY has spent a lot of time on security analysis and they should be ready to move on a few system wide initatives.

    • Banner - We are one of two campuses that still have Banner on premise.  We will be moving to a hosted system with SUNY ITEC cloud in the coming year.

  • Adjourn
