5.  Committee Reports

  • ITC Report (Dave S.)

    • Theresa is working on a date for the first meeting.  Through FA we got all the positions filled.

6.  CTS Report

  • Summer projects

  • Staff update

  • Digital Learning Environment Update (Kathi, Nicole & Theresa)

    • Raihan - if this is a non-matriculated student do they need the Oswego address?  Kathi - They will need to check their other email addresses, they will need to know where to get their communications from their course.

  • Print project (Nicole)

    • Have made some progress, Dave Kahn and Ed Mariano have been working with our Toshiba and Pharos representatives.  These are the vendors that we will be working with once the project is complete.  We have three of the specified devices that are the approved models which we have spent time getting them set up.  We wanted students to be able to swipe their cards to print, however, this functionality is not working at this time.  We will continue with printing to the cloud and you will be able to go to the printer and put in your code to release your job.  Dave and Ed have been working diligently to get this working, we had to pause for the start of semester, however, we will be continuing next week.  We will be testing the devices with the School of Business and will be getting feedback from them.  We have received the design for the campus from Toshiba, we will start communicating with the departments and what the design will mean for them.  There will be an opportunity to discuss the design which we would have to go back to SUNY.

    • Sean - We are probably going to cut 100 printers on campus and there will be no individual printers.  In the areas that we have implemented seem to be fine.  Printing has been way down.  It is a lot of work to communicate with people.

  • MCC 207 Computer Lab is now closed.  It was unused, the hope is it will be repurposed for EGaming location.

  • Adobe message went out from Adobe, We are working on this.  SUNY is in the process of negotiating a new project with Adobe.  They keep pushing the date until we have a new contract so you may still see the expiration notices.

  • TeamDynamix project (Nicole)

    • Showed the new Service Catalog.

    • Sean this has been a tremendous project for us.  A lot of SUNY schools have moved to TD, some of the advantages to us is that there is some cost savings.  We will also be able to start implementing Project Management.

7.  Cybersecurity Update

  • MoveIt Transfer issue

    • Over the summer MoveIT transfer which affected hundreds of service providers, Oswego was affected by two - National Student Clearinghouse and TIAA.  Most SUNY schools had the same incidents.

8.  AI in Higher Education (Stephanie Pritchard)
