Student Advisory Council

The School of Business Student Advisory Council is designed to promote student leadership and student involvement within the SUNY Oswego School of Business. We also provide an efficient relationship between the administration and the student body, in hopes of every student being heard. This along with our annual Business Alumni Symposium, monthly council meetings and classroom presentations, helps builds a stronger sense of community between students, faculty and alumni from our School of Business.

Current Officers:

Phi Beta Lambda

Phi Beta Lambda is a national business organization aimed at uniting business students in a positive working relationship.  Membership is open to anyone and nominal dues are collected annually.  Members have an opportunity to be enlightened by inspirational business leaders that we invite to our organizational meetings.  Other activities include, visits to local businesses, fundraisers, social gatherings, and community service.

Investment Club

The Investment Club at SUNY Oswego is a business organization that manages a portfolio of $250,000 of top companies in the Standard & Poor 500. The money was received as a generous donation from SUNY Oswego alumnus Gordon A. Lenz and Doreen Mochrie Tuohy. The club provides a unique opportunity unlike any other organization in the School of Business, because students are able to apply what they learn in the classroom to actually manage a real life stock portfolio.

Financial Management Association

Our objective is to assist in the professional, educational, and network development of students of SUNY Oswego who are interested in corporate finance, financial management, investment banking, risk management, banking and insurance, portfolio management, and global asset management. As an award-winning student club that has a corporate focus, we are student-oriented, career-oriented, and results-oriented.

You will not find a student organization at Oswego that will develop your skills like Enactus (Entrepreneurial Action by University Students) will.
