Roughly 8,660 students enroll at SUNY College at Oswego, about 7,680 undergraduates and 980 graduates.

The undergraduate student body is generally traditional. More than 73% of full-time students are between 18 and 21 years old, and 85% are studying full-time toward a degree.

The ratio of male to female undergraduate students is close to 45:55.

New York residents comprise approximately 97% of all enrollees.

In Fall of 2007 students came from almost every county in New York as well as from 26 states and 12 foreign countries.

Transfer students from local community colleges and other higher education institutions comprise about 32% of first time full time undergraduate students.
