Columbus Day Open House
The Open House will include: Admissions presentations, a chance to talk with faculty, student-guided campus tours, select tours of academic facilities and an opportunity to meet with representatives from Career Services, International Education (study abroad) and Experience-Based Education (internships). Geology investigates the origin, history, composition and structure of the Earth, enabling professional geologists to survey earthquakes and volcanoes; find oil, gas and mineral resources; develop land use plans; monitor rivers, lakes and coastlines; and much more. Our program is designed to provide a foundation in the principles of geology and its related sciences with four laboratories, a seismograph and a geology computer lab linked to the Internet.
