Professor Seppi is a Modern and Contemporary Art Historian.  She received her graduate training at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She also has an extensive background in museum curation, a field she worked in for ten years at The Detroit Institute of Arts in Michigan.  Her research and teaching interests include modern and contemporary European and American art, theory and criticism, race and gender, Native American art and culture, feminist art history, and museum studies.
