Ms. Scruton joined SUNY Oswego as Director of MBA Programs in 2013. She is responsible for the MBA portfolio which includes full time, part time, campus , hybrid and online programs for Management, Public Accounting, Health Services Administration and 5 year programs. Recently, the MBA Online and MBA HSA were selected as the only graduate programs in Inaugural group for the Open SUNY Initiative. Prior to joining Oswego, Ms. Scruton held executive positions in banking and non-profits.

Ms. Scruton was recently appointed to the Syracuse Regional Airport Authority Board and is Chair of its Governance Committee. She is a Board member of the NY Penn Girl Scout Council where she worked on the consolidation of five area councils into the new organization. She is also a Trustee for the DeWitt Community Library where she is a member of the strategic planning and design committee for the building of a new facility.

In prior years, Ms. Scruton was an Executive Committee Board member and Chair of Scholarship at the Onondaga Community College Foundation and was a Board member and graduate of Leadership Greater Syracuse. She was honored as a “Woman Who Means Business” by the Red Cross of Central New York and a “Woman of Distinction” by Girl Scouts of Central New York . Ms. Scruton also served as a town board member for 12 years including an appointment to the Police Commission.

Ms. Scruton received her BS from the University of Buffalo and her MBA from Syracuse University. She is currently enrolled in the McKinsey & Co. Leadership Academy and will begin her Doctoral studies at St. John Fisher College in the spring.
