Joe Stabb is an assistant professor of public relations and the faculty director for the Hart Hall Global Living and Learning Community at SUNY Oswego. He has experience in marketing communications, public relations, business development, organizational development, and leadership development.

Joe got his start developing websites for the Air Force Research Labs, more than 20 years ago, and has worked with the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, CBS News, American Red Cross, Welch Allyn, and other national and local organizations. He has worked across industries with organizations both large and small.

Joe is a graduate from Utica College of Syracuse University with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, a Master’s of Science degree from Keuka College in Management, and has a Doctoral degree in Leadership and Policy from Niagara University.  Stabb also holds an advanced certificate in international trade and commerce (TE) from the World Trade Center Association, his accreditation in public relations (APR) from the Universal Accreditation Board (UAB) and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), and a certificate in Effective College Teaching (ACUE) from the Association of College and University Educators.

Joe also believes in giving back to the community. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA), Shriners International, Tigris Chapter, and Oswego Opera Theater. He is also an active member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC).

In his free time, Joe Stabb stays active with family and friends, enjoys camping and traveling, attending the theater or opera, and cooking at home or eating at local diners.
