Lambda Pi Eta (LPH)

The official honor society of the National Communication Association, and is named for Aristotle's three components of persuasion:

  1. Logos: Lambda
  2. Pathos: Pi
  3. Ethos: Eta

Its purposes are to recognize academic excellence, cultivate student interest in the communication discipline, aid in professional development, and foster student-teacher relationships.  Faculty Advisor: Assistant Professor Andrea Vickery

National Broadcasting Society-Alpha Epsilon Rho

A student and professional society of over eighty-five chapters on college, university, community college and high school campuses. The National Broadcasting Society was established in 1943 to emphasize superior scholarship and creative participation in broadcast and corporate production and activity for university students interested in electronic media. Membership in NBS exemplifies excellence of work, demonstrated  leadership qualities and service to the organization, the community and the industry.

Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is open to public relations majors. Each year the PRSSA helps community organizations with public service campaigns and relation PR services.

The Oswegonian

The student staffed and managed campus newspaper. The Oswegonian offers students the opportunity to familiarize themselves with all aspects of the print media. Students are the reporters, the writers, the business personnel, the designers and much more.

Promotes awareness of the lack of representation of minorities in the media industry and encourages diversity in all aspects of media.
