Filtered Through the Garden
Photograph by James Kraus

Jim Kraus grew up within a curiosity of nature and its seasonal changes. Living in Oswego, New York for most of his life, he developed an interest in gardening and photography to survive the long winter season. Graduating from SUNY Oswego with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Jim worked as a graphic designer for over fifteen years - developing an eye for small details and a love for macro photography and the small world it opens.
This series is sponsored by SCMA, Dean Julie Pretzat
The Downtown Artists Series is an opportunity for student poets, artists and musicians to reflect upon and react to the work on exhibit. New poems, music, and art will be created as one artist considers the work of another. These new collaborative works will be presented at the opening of each exhibition at Tyler ArtGallery @ Oswego State Downtown.
