Our theatre program lets you learn by doing to prepare you for positions within and outside of the industry — including acting, directing, sound, lighting, makeup, costuming and more.

Our program investigates our complex culture from perspectives that include history, political institutions, literature and art. With guidance from your faculty adviser, you can tailor the program to your interests.

The Theatre Department produces at least four major productions during the academic year. Some of our most recent productions have included The Mousetrap, The Rocky Horror Show, Young Frankenstein and Much Ado About Nothing. See our complete production history.


Outstanding facilities and equipment include a 410-seat proscenium theatre with state-of-the-art capabilities, a flexible 120-seat black-box theatre, well-equipped shops, extensive computer applications and continually upgraded technical systems.
