Applications to one of SUNY Oswego undergraduate completion programs offered at the Syracuse campus are reviewed by the Admissions Office at our main campus.  Questions regarding your application can be directed to that office.  Please follow the below instructions for transfer applicants to be considered for one of the Syracuse programs.

Applications to one of our graduate degree or certificate programs are reviewed by the Graduate Studies Department at our main campus.  Please contact them directly for questions regarding admissions.

Step 1. Apply online

Choose just one option to apply to Oswego. Both applications require a non-refundable $50 fee. 

Step 2. Submit transcripts

Submit all official college or university transcripts (transcripts must be submitted regardless of credits earned). If you've completed fewer than 30 credit hours at the time of application, also submit your high school transcript.

Step 3: Check application status

About two weeks after your application, you will receive an email containing a user ID and PIN to access the application status checker to see what information we've received and what is still needed. Learn more

Additional information
Because each transfer student has a unique educational background we may ask for these additional items to be included along with your application:

Midterm grades
Transfer students currently taking college coursework may be required to submit midterm grades. Midterms can either be submitted through your school's grade reporting system or by completing the printable SUNY Oswego Midterm Grade Report.

Transfer application supplement
We require transfer applicants with a gap in their educational history to complete the Transfer Application Supplement. Be sure to include all activities from high school graduation through the term for which you are applying for admission.
