Green Folder-Resources for faculty & Staff *Updated Summer 2022

The Behavioral Intervention Team meets regularly to discuss students of concern in order to coordinate responses, resources, and management of relevant information so that campus professional staff can address student needs in a comprehensive manner. The group will also make recommendations to address any disruption or negative impact student issues may have on the student of concern, their peers, and others in the living and learning environment.

What is the Purpose of the BIT Team?
  • Provides consultation and support to faculty/staff and students
  • Assesses threat/risk
  • Connects individuals with appropriate campus and community resources
  • Monitors any issues or students of concern in order to support continued consultation, services
How to Make a Referral

Once a report is made, the Dean or Associate Dean of Students will follow up and determine next steps to address the situation and will bring information forward to the Behavioral Intervention Team as needed.
