SUNY Oswego did it!  Together, we broke a world record this morning!

Perhaps you were one of our 593 skaters who shattered the Guinness World Record for longest conga line on ice ... or you were one of the many staff, faculty and students who put in weeks of effort preparing for today ... Maybe you volunteered very early this morning to help make the show run so smoothly ... or you participated in the #Rokerthon rally party at the airport yesterday … or you had a class or a job requirement but you made the effort to watch, post, tweet or retweet.  There are too many individuals, groups, offices and organizations to mention, but you know who you are ... and YOU did it!

We are so grateful to alumnus Al Roker '76 for coming home for the #Rokerthon finale -- his visit to campus yesterday and participation this morning in our world record success made for splendid television on NBC'sToday show.

Thanks to Al Roker, the NBC Today show and, most importantly, all of you, the entire nation witnessed Oswego spirit in action this week.  We did it … YOU did it. My heartfelt thanks goes out to you all.
