The Office of the President
March 19, 2021

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,

As our second Wellness Day approaches (next week on Tuesday, March 23), I hope you are making plans for the day around what is good and most beneficial for you and your health and wellness.

In addition to getting a well-earned reprieve from the stressful demands of the spring semester, I encourage you to check out the many health and wellness events the college has planned for Tuesday.  Dive into spring with relaxing art and nature activities at Rice Creek Field Station; venture out on a guided 1-mile spring nature walk; participate in the March Employee Appreciation Walk; or partake in a virtual session that invites you to relax your mind through meditation.  Visit the health and wellness events calendar for a complete listing of events.

While Oswego Wellness Days are intended to give our students a break from classes and course assignments, I call on our dedicated faculty, staff and administrators to also take a moment to reflect on the impactful work you do.  We have been on a long, challenging trek the past year.  The pandemic has caused us to take on unexpected roles and responsibilities and stretch our creative energies, which have undoubtedly taken a toll on many of us.  With the renewal of spring, the gradual return of safe, in-person activity on campus, and the growing populations of people receiving vaccinations, let us put our efforts into raising our spirits and helping each other move forward together.

#BeWellOswego

Warm Regards,

Deborah F. Stanley
