Research

Sien Hu is a cognitive psychologist and a cognitive neuroscientist. She studied motor movements and how learning mechanisms affect the execution and transfer of movements. She then expanded her horizon to neuroimaging and used fMRI to study executive control. Her current research focuses on the neural mechanisms of proactive control in healthy adults, along with the effects of aging, alcohol consumption, and personality. She is also involved in research projects investigating cognitive control in patients with alcohol dependence and cocaine dependence.
