Dr. Ruddy received his Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He has taught a variety of political science and history courses, at both the high school and college level, and currently teaches American politics classes for the department. Professor Ruddy has been involved in numerous state and local political campaigns, and has also worked in the executive office of the mayor of Washington, D.C., the national office of Job Corps, and as a consultant for the U.S. Department of Labor.
