When will I register for classes?
While at the program, you will meet with an academic advisor and register for fall classes.

How do I know which classes to take?
At the program, you will meet with an academic advisor who will assist you in selecting classes appropriate for your major.  You will not be able to register for classes until you meet with your academic advisor.

How will I know whether or not I got my choice of orientation session? You will receive a confirmation through your Oswego email account.

Why haven't I received information about the Orientation programs yet?  The first wave of invitations to Orientation will be mailed out starting in March or April to all students who have paid their $100 tuition deposit.  Subsequent mailings will be sent out on a weekly basis thereafter.

Is there a new student fee?
All new transfer students are charged a transfer orientation fee which is placed on their fall tuition bill. The amount of the guest fee will depend on the type of lodging requested.

Can I bring guests with me to the program?
We have a separate and concurrent Transfer program for family and guests for most programs.  It is a special program with their needs in mind.

Can my guests and I get overnight on-campus accommodations?
We have on-campus lodging available for our two-day transfer programs .

Can I stay overnight on-campus during a one day program even though I will be commuting to campus this coming fall?  You certainly can!  That will give you extra time to meet other students as well as faculty and staff.

What should I wear to Orientation?  Dress is casual at Orientation.  Although you may wish to have a sweater or jacket as you may find some meeting areas chilly due to the air-conditioning.

When can I move into my residence hall?

Will I be able to tour my assigned residence hall that I will live in this fall?  Unfortunately, no.  Most residence halls are occupied by summer session students as well as by conference attendees.  The remaining residence halls are being prepared for fall occupancy.  However, information regarding the room dimensions and layout can be found online on the Residence Life and Housing webpage.
