Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program

The Noyce Teacher Scholarship program combines a rich history in teaching excellence at SUNY Oswego with devoted STEM candidates to produce dedicated STEM teachers to fill teaching positions in high needs schools.

The undergraduate scholarship is $12,000 and the graduate scholarship is $16,000 for one year. The scholarship can be used for any costs associated with attending college at SUNY Oswego or towards requirements for teacher licensure. The scholarships can be used for expenses associated with senior year as well as graduate studies. Separate applications are required for the undergraduate and graduate portion of the Noyce Scholarship at SUNY Oswego. Applicants are expected to be full-time students and U.S. citizens, nationals or permanent resident aliens. Proof of this status will be required upon entering the Noyce Scholarship Program at SUNY Oswego.

As a condition of receive funding, SUNY Oswego Noyce Scholarship recipients will be expected to teach for two years at an approved K-12 school for every year of support they receive and must maintain contact with the SUNY Oswego Noyce project to ensure this obligation is met.

With a goal to produce 7,700 teachers nationwide, The Robert Noyce Scholarship has already produced 1,400 math and science teachers since 2002. Learn more at
