SUNY Oswego criminal justice faculty member Jaclyn Schildkraut is once again coordinating an effort to send thousands of holiday cards to children impacted by mass shootings.

Students encouraged to 'drop-in' with President Stanley today

President Deborah F. Stanley will host the fall 2019 semester's final Student Drop-In hour today (Thursday, Dec. 5) from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Marano Campus Center food and activity court.

All students are encouraged to drop in, say hello to President Stanley, ask a question or discuss a topic important to you.

World Kindness Celebration to feature raffle baskets, ticket giveaways

Students are invited to take part in the campus World Kindness Celebration by creating letters to either themselves or someone else, which they can contribute to the kindness tree, from 10 a.m. to noon today (Dec. 6) in 133 Marano Campus Center.

Volunteer ushers sought for December Commencement

As the campus prepares to celebrate one of the most wonderful days of the year -- December Commencement on Saturday, Dec. 14 -- the Public Ceremonies Committee is seeking volunteer ushers to help ensure a happy day for families and friends in attendance.

Ushers help with overall crowd control and seating people with special needs at the ceremony, which begins at 10 a.m. Dec. 14 in the Marano Campus Center convocation hall and arena -- but moreover they help make this joyous day run smoother for the many guests celebrating this important milestone.

Cooper Dining Center to host graduation brunch Saturday

Cooper Dining Center will serve a special graduation brunch on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is a new expanded offering to especially serve December graduates and their families.

Fall semester resident dining meal plans (including guest and any time meals) will be accepted, or patrons may pay $10 per person.

Free Cooper Fitness Center use for campus over winter break

Members of the campus community can start their New Year with a commitment to health and exercise -- as during winter break, Cooper Fitness Center will be free for all students, faculty and staff.

Cooper Fitness Center will be open for this free use from Dec. 16 to 20, and Jan. 2 to 25. Hours will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
