The devastation SUNY Oswego geology major Kimberly Smith saw as a volunteer last summer helping with cleanup at Sandy Island State Park drove her to study the impact of high water levels on wildlife habitat in the environmentally unique dunes of eastern Lake Ontario.

Students research link for stress, spread of mosquito-borne illnesses

Biochemistry majors Kaitlyn McCue and Christina Li will present at the college's annual Quest symposium Wednesday, April 4, their research on a correlation of mosquito-borne diseases -- dengue, chikungunya and zika -- and patient markers for stress preceding illness.
