Opening Weekend activities await students

moving inThousands of Oswego students are getting to know the lakeside campus and their classmates through Opening Weekend activities running through Sunday.


Highlights on Saturday include Project Play, an opportunity for friendly competition between noon and 2 p.m. at Lee Hall and neighboring fields; the Oswego Challenge quiz show at the academic quad outside Lanigan Hall starting at 3 p.m.; and The O Show with the Shaun Cassidy Fan Club improv comedy troupe and national comedian Lee Camp, beginning at 8 p.m. in the Hewitt Ballroom.

Sunday’s activities include an opening volleyball tournament, with registration at 10:30 a.m. and games beginning at 11 a.m. in the Lee Hall Gym, as well as an opportunity to perform and record a favorite film role with Movie Makers from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Hewitt Union main lounge.
