hockey crowdThe year’s most popular sporting event—the men’s hockey battle with archrival Plattsburgh on Friday—may be sold out, but fans everywhere can view a live Web video stream of the action.

The annual White Out game between the two top teams in the SUNY Athletic Conference will stream live at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20. The live stream allows local fans, faraway families of players and alumni to view this contest.

The trial program started with simulcasts of the men’s and women’s basketball games Feb. 6, followed by the women’s hockey program’s first Senior Night on Feb. 14. College officials will use viewership totals and other data gathered to determine the feasibility of making more games available this way in the future.

At the time of the games, fans can visit to start the viewing experience.
