College to serve up 'Feast of Carols'

The SUNY Oswego music department will present “The Feast of Carols: A Holiday Collage” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, in Tyler Hall’s Waterman Theatre.

The program will feature large and small ensembles as well as faculty and student soloists performing seasonal music, interspersed with audience-participation carol singing.

Performers will include the Jazz Ensemble, Concert Band, College Choir, State Singers, Recorder Consort and Oswego Jazz Project. Selections will span such fare as “The 12 Days of Christmas,” “Let It Snow,” “Snowfall,” “Sleigh Ride,” “Carol of the Bells” and Thad Jones’ “A Child Is Born.”

A suggested $5 admission donation supports the SUNY Oswego Music Department Excellence Fund that underwrites outreach and academic programs.

Persons with disabilities, seeking accommodations to attend this event, should contact the music department at 312-2130 in advance.
