Works of women composers to highlight concert

The College Community Orchestra will feature works of women composers at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, in Tyler Hall’s Waterman Theatre.

Faculty flutist Kelly Covert will perform “Concertino” by Cecile Chaminade, and faculty tenor Todd Graber will sing “Three Songs” by Amy Beach.

The program will also feature students Evangeline and Elizabeth Canfield performing Mozart’s “Concerto for Two Pianos,” and a Delibes duet for two flutes played by Covert and student Jenna Barr.

Stravinsky’s “Berceuse and Finale” and Gershwin’s “American in Paris” will complement the program.

The concert is free and open to the public. Parking is free in campus lots evenings and weekends.
