College's small-business center to offer online training for entrepreneurs

The SUNY Oswego Small Business Development Center will present an online business training course from Jan. 14 to March 2.

The course, which has a Jan. 10 registration deadline, will provide guidance and support to individuals interested in starting or expanding a small business.

The program consists of several weeks of online learning modules designed to guide the entrepreneur through many aspects of starting and running a small business. At the end of the course, participants will possess the basic knowledge and tools necessary for operating a successful small business, organizers said.

Topics will include business planning, accounting and tax issues, business law, marketing and other basic startup concepts.
