AUDITIONS

Audition Materials for Applied Vocal Instruction. FALL 2021

Applied Voice Lessons are private - one-on-one lessons with a teacher. Lessons are a credit bearing academic class for one or two credits. (MUS 341 or MUS 441) Lessons are granted through an audition process as we have only so many openings each year. If you'd like more information or to schedule an audition please contact Dr. Graber (todd.graber@oswego.edu). thanks!

AUDITION MATERIAL- We want to hear YOU at your best. First and foremost, choose a song that you feel extremely comfortable with. If you have sheet music- PLEASE BRING- that would be great. Your selection can be Musical Theater, classical (perhaps a previous NYSSMA solo?), or pop. If you have nothing prepared- still come and we will vocalize!

COVID CONCERNS - Teaching lessons this semester will take place in a large rehearsal room with at least 20' between teacher/student. All lessons this semester will take place face-to-face. There will be no remote ZOOM lessons offered unless the COVID situation changes drastically.

We are trying to avoid the physical handling of papers/forms. thanks! We will contact everyone who auditions by Friday the 27th and let you know whether or not you have been placed for lessons. If we have room for you, we will then help you register for lessons.
