View Fines & Fees

To find the balance of fines and fees on your account, login to your library account and then select "Renew Books / Sign-in / View Circulation Info."

You may also call the Check-Out & Reserves Desk at 315-312-2560 or email circdesk@oswego.edu.

Payment Methods

There are 3 ways for you to pay your library fines and fees:

Pay online with a credit card.

Cash: You can pay cash at the Check-Out & Reserves Desk.

Check: You can pay by check at the Check-Out & Reserves Desk, or mail the check to us.
Checks should be made out to SUNY Oswego.

How Do I Remove a Hold?

A hold is automatically placed on your student account when library fines and lost book fees accumulate over $10.

Fines and holds that have been paid will be lifted from your account within 24 hours (or the next business day).

If you need a hold lifted sooner, take your payment receipt to the Check-Out & Reserves Desk. Note: This service may not be available late nights or weekends; call first to find out.

Was My Payment Received?

You should receive an emailed receipt shortly after you make your online payment. Please save a copy of this receipt so you can show you paid the fine, if requested to do so by the library staff.

Can I Appeal My Fines?

If you feel a library fine is unjustified, you may appeal it.
