You are here

Do you want to help a local food pantry provide food for those in need during the Holidays? By donating one can of food to Penfield Library for each $1 of fines you have amassed, the fines will be eliminated. Bring the food to the Check-Out & Reserves Desk November 2 through 25 and you can save some money and help those in need.

  • Each item of food will cancel $1.00 or less in fees
  • Only pre-packaged, unopened food in cans, boxes or plastic jars can be accepted
  • No glass, perishables, or damaged/expired items
  • Food accepted for fees only, not lost book costs

Items will be donated to the Human Concerns Food Pantry in Oswego.

Any food donations will be gratefully accepted - regardless of whether you are "paying" a fine.

For more information, you can contact the Check-Out & Reserves Desk at 315-312-2560 or

Thank you for your generosity.
