Thank you for your interest in donating to Penfield Library!

To make a monetary contribution, please contact The Fund for Oswego (315-312-2258) and feel free to specify that your gift is for Penfield Library.

Donating Books, Media, Etc.

The library may occasionally put out a call for current textbooks. Unfortunately, we are otherwise unable to accept donations of books, media, ephemera, or other items unless they are:

  • directly related to local or SUNY Oswego history, or
  • authored by past or current faculty members.

If you have items that fall into one of these categories, please call our Special Collections unit at 315-312-3537 to discuss your materials. If we accept your donation, we will ask you to fill out a very brief donation form providing us with your name, address, and an item count by type. We will not assign a value to your donation.

The library reserves the right to decline donations and to determine the retention, location, cataloging treatment, and other considerations related to the use or disposition of all gifts. All donated items become the property of the library and will not be returned to the donor if they are not added to (or are later removed from) the collection.
