Accumulated fines and fees on library patron records may not be waived or modified without authorization.

If you feel that a library fine is not justified, you may appeal it by filling out this form. Please review Penfield's Loan Periods and Overdue Fines. Other borrowing policies can also be found on the Borrowing Services page.

Decisions may take time as we carefully review and investigate your appeal. Library holds on your student account will remain while the Circulation Department reviews your appeal. Holds will prevent students from registering, receiving grades, and acquiring transcripts. If you need immediate assistance, please contact the Check-Out & Reserves Desk (315-312-2560).

The Circulation department will notify you of the outcome of your appeal via email. Questions about decisions made on appeals should be directed to the Coordinator of Access Services.
