Insurance Information

Medical Insurance

All participants will automatically be enrolled in the mandatory SUNY study abroad health coverage which includes health insurance coverage AND emergency assistance coverage including evacuation and repatriation benefits.

Travel Insurance (Optional Coverage)

We recommend that you consider travel insurance.  The State University of New York has made available Crum & Foster products that may serve your needs.  You can access the policy via Haylor, Freyer and Coon Insurance Agency or you are welcome to find your own agency/company.  All students, faculty, and staff who are traveling as part of a SUNY Education Abroad program are eligible to enroll for this optional insurance.  To learn more and to purchase the individual benefits, please visit the following: Travel Insurance.  (Note: this insurance is not required. You may find other products that best meet your requirements and needs.)

Preparing For Your Next Semester

Registering for courses for the following semester

All registrations can be done at your time of eligibility on the web at http://myoswego.oswego.edu.  Matriculated undergraduate students receive an email at their Oswego email address notifying them when registration is available on their myOswego accounts.

Please remember ALL matriculated undergraduates MUST register by the date indicated on the Registrar's site or incur a late fee of $40, which can not be waived due to overseas study.

You must use the myOswego site for all course and registration information. If you have issues in registering, you MUST contact the Registrar's Office directly.

Non-SUNY Oswego students should contact their home campus' International Education office for policies and procedures regarding registration at their home campus.

Reserving housing

If you need to reserve your on-campus housing, you may find all of the necessary forms on the Residence Life and Housing  website.
