Sample statements to Include in the course syllabus

Faculty who are going to make use of the Intellectual Integrity Quiz might choose to substitute the following:
"SUNY Oswego is committed to Intellectual Integrity. In support of this goal, this course requires students to read the Integrity Primer and complete the Intellectual Integrity Quiz in the Blackboard shell for this class. Sutdents should email the certificate of completion that they earn after succesffully completing the quiz to the instructor. More information can be found in the Primer at http://www.oswego.edu/integrity."
Reporting integrity violations
According to the campus policy, violations of the intellectual integrity policy are to be reported to the intructor's dean's office. To make this easier, CII has developed an online submission form. To access the form, use the Intellectual Integrity Violation Report Form link.
Academic penalty process
While it appears to be a daunting process, the actual procedure for determining that academic misconduct took place and assigning an appropriate academic penalty is quite simple. This academic penalty process document explains the process and, importantly, why is it imperative that you follow the faculty-approved process.
