Each year, SUNY Oswego nominates up to five exemplary individuals to the SUNY Board of Trustees for consideration of receiving a SUNY honorary doctorate degree. The joint Honorary Degree and Commencement Speaker Nomination Committee, seeks new members for the 2023-2024 academic year to serve a one-year term on the committee. The committee is charged with gathering from the campus community suggestions of individuals to share with President's Council for consideration of nomination.
