Degree programs

Information science focuses on the techniques and scientific principles directed toward the design, implementation, analysis and management of information and communication systems. We offer a bachelor's in information science and computer information systems minor.

Information science at Oswego is an interdisciplinary degree program, drawing from such diverse fields as computer technologies, human cognition, software engineering and library science. The major places emphasis on the organization, representation and manipulation of information. It is intended for students whose primary interests lie in the theory, applications, management and communication of information.
