What you will study

This program provides a comprehensive authentic learning experience in play therapy. You will develop child-centered listening and communication skills needed to include play therapy as part of your intervention repertoire. Take your learning outside of the classroom by participating in a supervised internship.

Learning outcomes

Distinguish yourself in the mental health counseling field. Graduates from this program are qualified to become Registered Play Therapists and/or Certified Child-Centered Play Therapists and Certified Child Psychotherapists through the Association for Play Therapy, National Institute for Relational Enhancement and Play Therapy International. Credits from this certificate may also be applied towards Mental Health Counseling at Oswego.
